The Honda HR-V is America’s most popular crossover with Gen-Z buyers and it’s getting some ‘lit’ upgrades for 2026. These include a host of styling and equipment tweaks, but they come at a cost as pricing climbs $800.

Starting outside, there are new 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels. The range-topping EX-L trim is also notable for riding on larger 18-inch wheels for 2026.

Kicks aside, the entry-level HR-V LX now comes equipped with rear privacy glass so it no longer screams bargain basement. The Sport gains gloss black badging, while the color palette has been updated to include Boost Blue Pearl and Solar Reflection Metallic.
The 7-inch infotainment system has been banished as the LX and Sport now have a larger 9-inch display. It also sports a faster processor as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Honda didn’t stop there as they wisely made a wireless smartphone charger standard.
The HR-V EX-L wasn’t forgotten as its steering wheel now features “sophisticated” silver spokes. Elsewhere, there’s new front footwell lighting and a dynamic climate control knob that illuminates red, white, and blue.
While that’s the extent of the changes, the 2026 HR-V features a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a four- to eight-speaker audio system. Customers will also find the Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance systems that includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition. They’re joined by Auto High-Beam Headlights, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Collision Mitigation Braking.
All HR-Vs are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 158 hp (118 kW / 160 PS) and 138 lb-ft (187 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a continuously variable transmission, which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system for an additional $1,500. In terms of efficiency, the model returns up to 26 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined.
The 2026 Honda HR-V is currently arriving at U.S. dealerships and pricing starts at $26,200 before a $1,395 destination fee.
