Update: Jeep has kicked off a teaser campaign for the facelifted 2026 Grand Cherokee, sharing two photos that showcase both exterior and interior updates. The automaker has also confirmed that the mid-size SUV will arrive at dealerships across the U.S. later this year.

Previously, our spy photographers captured lightly camouflaged prototypes of the 2026 Grand Cherokee undergoing testing. These models sport updates inside and out, though the changes are more evolutionary than revolutionary.
Up front, we see a shorter, more squared-off grille that echoes the one found on the Recon EV. While the headlights seem to carry over, the trim surrounds have been revised. The 2026 Grand Cherokee also gets an all-new front bumper, featuring a mid-mounted intake and a smaller lower opening. It’s joined by repositioned fog lights and a prominent center-mounted sensor. We can also spot boxy air intakes that appear to be mostly enclosed.

There doesn’t appear to be any other styling changes at this point, but the production model could have some more extensive updates. Regardless, it’s worth noting the Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L will adopt a shared front end for the first time.

Moving inside, the cabin is instantly recognizable as it features a luxurious mix of leather and wood trim. However, we can see an all-new infotainment screen that is significantly wider than its predecessor.
While the bigger screen is a welcome change, Jeep eliminated most of the physical controls. That’s a step in the wrong direction, but at least the new display appears to feature digital buttons for the heated front seats. They’re joined by volume and tuning knobs as well as a new silver filler plate.
Jeep has been tight-lipped about the 2026 Grand Cherokee, but the current model recently dropped the 5.7-liter Hemi V8. The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 could also die and rumors have suggested it could be replaced by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder.
Speaking of which, the Grand Cherokee 4xe will return, which is no surprise, as it’s one of the best-selling plug-in hybrids in America. It’s unclear if that particular model will feature any powertrain updates, but hopefully engineers can improve the 26 mile (42 km) electric-only range.
