Ford Brings Custom Broncos To Jeep’s Turf

Jeep has made Moab its unofficial home with decades of Easter Jeep Safari events. For most of them, it brings along a bunch of wild concepts, with this year’s consisting of Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators. Since Ford re-introduced the Bronco, however, the Blue Oval brand has been setting up stakes in the area at the same time. It’s doing so again this year with the Bronco Stampede at Moab. In addition to having some displays and driving demonstrations at the same time as the Safari, Ford will be showing off this pair of custom Broncos.

Ford Bronco Off-Roadeo Arches Project Vehicle

We’ll start with the Arches Project Vehicle. It’s painted in a bronze-orange metallic with a clear matte vinyl wrap over the top. A similar vinyl is also available on production four-door Broncos. Ford also applied custom graphics based on the rock features found in Arches National Park. Those graphics include Code Orange accents which are extended across the rest of the SUV such as the roll bar, “Trail Sights,” badging, and the beadlock rings. Those rings are fitted to Method wheels along with BF Goodrich tires. Ford also fitted steel bumpers, a Warn winch, push bar, light bar, and rock rails to finish it off.

Ford Bronco Off-Roadeo Cliffhanger Project Vehicle

The two-door Bronco, called the Cliffhanger. It has the same basic color scheme, but with the graphics adjusted to reflect rock formations along the Cliffhanger trail. This includes graphics of petroglyphs found on the trail, which are applied to the insides of the tube doors. It also gets most of the same exterior parts as the Arches, but it gets more upgrades in the suspension and tire department. The Method wheels are wrapped in even bigger 40-inch versions of the Arches’ BF Goodrich tires. Ford also fit Fox Live Valve shocks and extra-wide fender flares finished in body color. Ford says they’re custom, though they certainly look like the ones from the Bronco Raptor.

Ford also went further with interior upgrades. The Code Orange accents continue, along with some carbon fiber on parts such as the grab handles. Most notable among the interior modifications are the Recaro sport seats. They even feature multipoint harnesses to keep occupants especially secure either when crawling over rocks or blasting across dunes. Ford didn’t say anything about offering production versions of these vehicles, and they’re more likely just for showing what can be done with the Bronco platform.
