Totem Automobili, an Italian restomod company that specializes in electrifying classic Alfas, has unveiled its latest build at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza. The GT Electric was presented to its lucky owner during the Wheels & Weisswürscht event, allowing showgoers to get up close and personal with this wheeled work of art.
While it retains the gorgeous styling of the classic Giulia GTA, Totem uses lightweight carbon fiber for the bodywork. For this particular configuration – known as Armonia – the client specified an elegant triple-layer metallic blue paintwork developed especially for the owner. The deep hue accentuates the gorgeous lines and curves of the Alfa, simplified further by removing the bumpers.
Bewitchingly Beautiful Exterior Styling
The LED headlights are exquisite, with elegant geometric patterns adding a high-end look to the front fascia. It looks modern but somehow works with the vehicle and doesn’t appear cheap or tacky. The rear also has minimalist round taillights, with simple ‘GT Electric’ badging on the tailgate. The interior has been upholstered in high-end tan leather and paired with sporty carbon fiber details.

According to the restomod company, the GT Electric is a rapid machine. It offers 590 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque, resulting in a 0-62 mph sprint time of 2.9 seconds. The top speed is less impressive, at 130 mph. Despite the 81 kWh battery pack, the carbon fiber-bodied beauty is a relative featherweight, tipping the scales at a mere 3,284 lbs. The claimed range is remarkable; Totem Automobili estimates it can travel up to 311 miles between top-ups. This was likely calculated using WLTP testing. EPA estimates would be more realistic, but these things don’t matter in a niche aftermarket vehicle like the GT Electric.
Not A Fan Of Electric Propulsion? There’s A V6, Too
Of course, if you prefer a combustion engine to an electric drivetrain, Totem Automobili also offers the Totem Super GT, which gains motivation from the twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 from the Giulia Quadrifoglio. This offers up to 620 hp, which should be quite a handful in this lightweight creation.

This looks an awful lot like a BMW 8 Series replacement. Tellingly, it’s powered by the 617-hp twin-turbo V8 from the M8 Competition.
Riccardo Quaggio, founder and CEO of Totem Automobili, said seeing the GT Electric at the prestigious event was wonderful: “The process of building these works of art – as I like to call them – requires immense effort; it is not easy. I am deeply proud of my team, who face the daily challenges with commitment, responsibility, and great passion.” Pricing for the GT Electric starts at around $470,000, but that doesn’t include any bespoke work or optional extras.
