The Kia K900 was only available in the US for a short time. It first arrived here in 2015, then disappeared for a year in 2018 only to reappear for the 2019 and 2020 model years before disappearing for good. In Korea, however, it’s known as the K9, and it’s going strong as the brand’s flagship luxury sedan. While we can’t get the K9 here, we do have the Kia EV9, which is a great three-row electric SUV that’s also loaded with features.
The last time the K9 saw major changes on the Korean market was back in 2021 and this year it gets a few more tweaks to update its styling and expand its features. The most noticeable change is up front, with a striking new grille.
New Grille
The previous model year had the K9 grille sporting V-shaped design elements. Those are gone. Instead, there are new horizontal slats that make it look wider and more bold. There are also changes to the wheels with a new 19-inch option and newly available Pebble Gray paint. Inside, the luxurious cabin gets updated, too.

Models equipped with the turbocharged 3.3-liter T-GDI V6 engine are affected by this recall.
Two new themed interiors, Martian Brown and Misty Gray, join the lineup. There’s also some interesting technology called After Blow. This helps dry condensation from the air conditioning to prevent unwanted odors in the cabin. It activates automatically for 10 minutes, drying out the ducts to prevent mold. A battery sensor ensures it won’t activate if the battery is low.
More Luxury
Kia ups the level of luxury in the K9 with a massaging front passenger seat, front and rear USB-C charging ports, and a fire extinguisher that’s the one feature you probably never want to use. Top trims also see some features that were options become standard.
There’s a choice of two powertrains with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The base engine is a turbocharged 3.3-liter V6. A naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 is also available. Pricing for the K9 starts at roughly $43,800 and tops out at $64,200.
