- Mercedes-AMG has released the first teasers of the GT Track Sport concept.
- It features an aggressive front splitter, a NACA duct, and a sizable rear wing.
- The company all but confirmed it previews an upcoming production model.
The Mercedes-AMG GT lineup offers everything from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder to a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 plug-in hybrid producing 805 hp (600 kW / 816 PS). Customers can also opt for the track-focused GT 63 Pro, which has an aerodynamic body kit, an upgraded engine, and a carbon ceramic braking system.

Mercedes is now hinting at an even more extreme model with the new GT Track Sport concept. The company isn’t saying much at this point, but described it as an “uncompromising concept vehicle … designed for absolute dynamic driving peak performance to set new standards and record times.”

The teaser images are similarly cryptic, but the car appears to have a unique grille and a massive front splitter. We can also see perforated camouflage above the front wheels, which hint at top-mounted fender vents. Elsewhere, the model appears to have a NACA duct next to the headlight.
Additional details are hard to make out, but the concept has a massive rear wing and lightweight wheels. The latter are wrapped in performance-focused Michelin tires.
We can expect to learn more in the coming weeks, but Mercedes wasn’t shy about production plans. Quite the opposite as they said the concept hints that the “GT family is not yet complete.” They also noted it “provides a preview of a possible expansion of the GT series with a V8 engine.”
The company currently offers four V8-powered models ranging from the GT 55 to the GT 63 S E Performance. The non plug-in hybrids produce between 469 hp (350 kW / 476 PS) and 603 hp (450 kW / 611 PS).
