Set to arrive this fall, the Corolla features a streamlined lineup as the FX Edition has been phased out for 2026. That isn’t the only change as the value-focused LE and SE now come equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Despite being tiny by modern day standards, it’s a nice step up from the old analog gauges that were separated by a 4.2-inch multi-information display.

Speaking of digital instrument clusters, the range-topping Corolla XSE now comes with a 12.3-inch display. It replaces the previous 7-inch screen and should help to make the car feel a little more modern. The larger cluster will also be available on the SE as an option.
Besides new displays, the Corolla now features a standard Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Buyers will also find the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of driver assistance systems that includes Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Proactive Driving Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.
Power is provided by a familiar 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 169 hp (126 kW / 171 PS) and 151 lb-ft (205 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a continuously variable transmission, which enables the sedan to return up to 32 mpg city, 41 mpg highway, and 35 mpg combined.
Despite the upgrades, the 2026 Corolla LE is only $400 more expensive than its predecessor. The SE and XSE also see a $400 increase.
Corolla Hybrid
The 2026 Corolla Hybrid echoes the regular model and features new displays as well as a standard Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. It starts at $24,575, which is an increase of $750.

While there isn’t much new, the model is notable for having a hybridized 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that produces a combined output of 138 hp (103 kW / 140 PS). It enables the car to return up to 53 mpg city, 46 mpg highway, and 50 mpg combined.
Fuel efficiency isn’t the only thing that helps the Corolla Hybrid stand out as the model offers an optional all-wheel drive system. It’s a $1,400 option on the LE and SE, and it adds a rear-mounted electric motor that powers the back wheels as needed.
