Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Won’t Be Much Cheaper Than The 5 N

Probably the biggest reveal during the Goodwood Festival of Speed was that of Hyundai’s. The Korean marque has officially introduced the Ioniq 6 N, just in time for the 10th anniversary of the Hyundai N performance brand. It’s the seventh true N model and the first electric sedan in the performance range. Of course, among the questions about the new N model is its price, and we might have an idea of what that’s going to be like.

According to reports from South Korea, the Ioniq 6 N will hit the showrooms this month in its home market, alongside the facelifted version of the regular Ioniq 6. The price isn’t official, but rumor has it that it will be priced at 77 million won, or around $55,500 at current exchange rates. The kicker is that the Ioniq 5 N is also priced similarly, which makes us think that the Ioniq 6 N may be priced higher than we expected.

Korea Reportedly Bucking The Pricing Trend

We are among those who expected that the Ioniq 6 N would be priced lower than the Ioniq 5 N based on how their regular counterparts are priced. In the US, the Ioniq 5 currently starts at $42,600 (before destination charges), while the Ioniq 6 has a lower $37,850 sticker price. There’s an almost $5,000 gap between the two, so with the Ioniq 5 N priced at $66,200, we expected the Ioniq 6 N to be priced in the low $60k range.

A Hotter Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Track Weapon Is Already Available

Hyundai has just revealed a blazing Ioniq 6 N, but it’s already hotted up with parts that make it a tighter track weapon.

However, the rumors from Korea are bucking that trend. All hopes are not lost, as there’s a chance that Hyundai will have a different strategy in pricing the new electric performance sedan for American customers. Not a guarantee though, but we’re hopeful for the sake of N-thusiasts out there.

A Better Electric N In More Ways Than One

That said, buyers won’t have so much to lose, even if the Ioniq 6 N is priced in line with the Ioniq 5 N. The new performance model builds upon the brilliant go-fast crossover. Though specced similarly, the Ioniq 6 N is expected to perform at a higher level considering its lower stance and better aerodynamic profile. There are other improvements to the sedan versus the taller model – most of which are geared towards more fun track days and quicker lap times. It also sports enhanced versions of the tech that first debuted on the 5 N, meaning it should be a better package for enthusiasts to drive.

We’ll know more about Hyundai’s pricing strategy in America once it officially reveals its market-specific numbers. While Korea will have it sooner than everyone else, the Ioniq 6 N’s arrival in the US will happen early in 2026. We expect the official information months prior to its market launch.
