These Broncos Are Dressed To Impress The Ladies But Still Ready To Get Dirty

Overpriced fashion meets Bronco with some questionable results

These Broncos Are Dressed To Impress The Ladies But Still Ready To Get Dirty

  • Ford has unveiled the Bronco Storm Floral and Denim Chevron concept editions.
  • Both models were created in collaboration with the fashion brand alice + olivia.
  • Designed to appeal to women, they feature gold accents, wraps, and custom cabins.

The Bronco has carved out a rugged, dirt-flinging niche for itself in Ford’s lineup, but now the company is giving the SUV a softer edge, or at least a more stylish one. Roughly 70% of Bronco buyers are men, but Ford is aiming to expand the model’s appeal by partnering with ‘alice + olivia‘. The female fashion brand was launched at Barneys in 2002 and was founded by Stacey Bendet.

The collaboration started with an alice + olivia x Bronco line, which includes a $195 t-shirt, a $295 hoodie, and a $795 pair of jeans that look like they lost a bet. There’s also the willa top, which looks perfectly fine but still rings up at $395.

To help celebrate the partnership, Ford created two special Broncos known as the Storm Floral and Denim Chevron. They’re both based on Sasquatch variants and feature a host of upgrades.

Starting with the Storm Floral Edition, it features a floral wrap that turned the model into a “rolling garden.” More tasteful changes can be found inside, where there’s a custom dashboard that is covered in a “light wood-like material.” It looks pretty nice and we wouldn’t mind seeing it offered on the fancy Outer Banks trim.

Elsewhere, the usual silver accents – including the door handles, knobs, and badges – have been painted gold. The concept also sports two-tone seats featuring white leather as well as contrasting brown center sections.

The Bronco Denim Chevron Edition has a colorful exterior and a tire cover plastered with stickers. The interior cribs heavily from the Jeep CJ Levi’s Edition playbook and features blue jean-inspired seats that are wrapped in blue marine-grade vinyl upholstery. They’re paired with camel leather and gold accents.

According to Ford’s Global Creative Director of Brand Design, Lori Maday, the concepts are “an opportunity to show women that, yes, they can conquer deserts dunes and mountain paths and forest trails, but can also enjoy Bronco on a beach, doors off, roof off, being free and having fun.”
