It’s understandable, their clientele has the money, but there are fans with shallower pockets that would like to have a little something from their favorite aspirational automakers. Fortunately, Porsche has a great bit of affordable fun in the form of its new Porsche Poster Studio.
It’s Pretty Simple
The Porsche Poster Studio is basically what you would expect. It’s an online tool that lets you create a custom poster featuring a 911. The 911 is pretty much the only vehicle featured, though Porsche has included versions from every generation in multiple body styles and trims. Depending on the version, you can pick various colors, too. Though if you want something besides a 911, you’re pretty much out of luck, with the only option being the 963 LMDh race car. With a car selected, you can then choose a wide variety of backgrounds. They include various graphics such as squigly lines, geometric shapes, gradients, sets of words, and more. The color scheme can be adjusted to match or contrast the car to to your taste. The variety is impressive, and they all fit in with Porsche’s fairly minimalist design and advertising aesthetic. It would be easy to imagine these designs appearing in a Porsche showroom just as well as on your smartphone or wall.
It’s Free For Your Devices, But A Physical Poster Has A Price
Once you’re satisfied with the results, you can download the image, completely free of charge. Porsche suggests using it as a wallpaper for your phone, computer, or tablet. You could also certainly print it out yourself. If you’d rather Porsche print it for you, there is a fee. The company partnered with a company in Germany called WhiteWall that will do the printing. The company uses A2 paper, which measures 16.5 inches by 23.4, and the cost for the print is 33.95, or $39.00 at the time of writing. That doesn’t include shipping, which will vary depending on where you are.
