- This 296 GTB was configured with nearly $200,000 worth of factory options.
- The supercar features extensive carbon fiber parts throughout its design.
- The new owner walked away with an excellent deal on a barely used car.
You could argue that the Ferrari 296 GTB hasn’t received quite as much praise as it deserves, as it has been largely overshadowed by the more powerful SF90 Stradale. However, tests have shown the 296 is basically just as quick as the SF90 in a straight line, despite having less power and a much cheaper price. The 296 also has proper supercar looks, so it’s quite surprising to see how much value this pristine example has lost after just 1,400 miles.

This 296 GTB is a 2024 example painted in Rosso Fuoco, no doubt one of the better colors from Ferrari’s palette. It has also been optioned with the $41,956 Assetto Fiorano package, which adds carbon fiber door panels, Multimatic shocks, carbon fiber front splitters, a Lexan rear window, and an active spoiler.
The options list doesn’t stop there. This 296 also features an $11,812 carbon fiber rear diffuser, $8,606 worth of carbon under the doors, $5,062 in carbon fiber trim on the dashboard, and a $5,062 carbon steering wheel with integrated shift lights. According to the window sticker, it also carries $81,754 worth of additional options. Yes, that’s just for the extras.

Beyond the factory options, this Ferrari also sits on aftermarket 20-inch HRE wheels and has a full paint protection film. It has also been equipped with ceramic tint and sits on Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires.
From Half a Million to Deep Discount
Altogether, this car left the Ferrari factory with a total sticker price of $525,227, up from a base MSRP of $333,255. That’s nearly $200,000 in options alone. And yet, after covering just under 1,500 miles, the original owner decided to let it go via Bring a Trailer. The final sale price? $384,000. That’s a $141,227 haircut in under 1,500 miles of driving.
That’s an incredible amount of depreciation for a near-new Ferrari and perhaps shows the 296 has been priced too high, and the options are way more expensive than they should be.
