- A twin-turbo 6.2-liter V8 has been shoehorned into the SCG 007s’ body.
- The new hypercar is a three-seater, just like the McLaren F1 and Speedtail.
- SCG says the car weighs 1,550 kg, so it should be the perfect track toy.
Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has finally launched the road-going version of its 007 Le Mans Hypercar, known simply as the SCG 007s. The car follows in the footsteps of other Glickenhaus models in being a road-going version of the race car, giving it the kind of motorsport pedigree that none of its hypercar rivals can match.

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about the new 007s is just how similar its design is to the race car. Admittedly, it’s not identical, as it sits taller than the race car, and isn’t as wide nor as low. Additionally, the cockpit has been massively enlarged allowing for a three-seat configuration, whereas the race car is, naturally, a single seater.

The 007s rocks many of the same aero features as the LMH model, including a similar front splitter, and the same massive shark fin and rear wing. It also wears the same shade of blue with red, white, and dark blue racing stripes as the livery used by the race car.
Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 6.2-liter V8 churning out 1,000 hp and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque that drives the rear wheels via a seven-speed automated manual transmission. Given that the SCG 007s tips the scales at just 1,550 kg (3,417 lbs), it promises to be exceptionally quick, although the automaker hasn’t disclosed any performance figures.
Presented over the weekend at the Concours d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on the shores of Lake Como, Italy, the 007s has a similar three-seat layout made famous by the McLaren F1 and later used by the McLaren Speedtail. The driver sits in the center while two passenger seats are positioned on either side.
Given that the road car is so heavily based on the race model, it comes as no surprise that the interior is quite basic. It includes a motorsport-inspired carbon fiber steering wheel and two small screens to display important vehicle functions. Creature comforts are few and far between, so don’t expect many (if any) amenities; this hypercar is all about driving, not listening to music or getting your buttocks massaged and cooled.
Pricing has yet to be announced and it’s unclear how many units SCG hopes to produce, although these details will, sooner or later, inevitably be made public.
