The 2026 Honda CR-V gets a suite of updates for the new model year, but that has now also translated into increased prices for the best-selling Honda model in the US. The current base LX trim CR-V starts at $31,450 after fees, but the new 2026 LX model will now be at least $865 more expensive, with prices going up across each of the seven available trim options, one of which is off-road oriented and all-new for the updated model year.

2026 Honda CR-V Power
The 2026 Honda CR-V is now available with two powertrains: a gas-only setup and a regular hybrid setup. The gas-only models include the LX, EX, and EX-L trims which feature a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder good for 190 hp and 179 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid models now include the Sport, TrailSport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring trims, which get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder linked to two electric motors for a total output of 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. AWD is standard on the TrailSport Hybrid trim and available as an option on the other trims.

What’s New For The 2026 Honda CR-V?
The standard kit for each trim has also been updated for 2026 to now include standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a standard wireless phone charging pad, and a larger base 9-inch central touchscreen, with a larger 10.2-inch screen on the EX-L, Sport-L, TrailSport, and Sport Touring trims. All trims come with 18-inch wheels except for the top-of-the-line Sport Touring, which gets 19-inch wheels. The Sport Touring trim also upgrades to built-in Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play in-car applications.
Hybrid models now also get differentiated, bolder styling elements on the exterior. Honda also mentions that its traction control system has been improved at lower speeds for better off-road control and handling: the system detects two wheels with the most traction to get the majority of the (limited) driving force, and applies brakes to the other, slipping wheels. It should be noted that the TrailSport trim does not hold this feature as an exclusive in the lineup, nor does it get any sort of suspension, brake, or engine tuning specific for off-roading. It’s a very light TrailSport treatment compared to the rest of Honda’s TrailSport lineup, which get more upgrades (and admittedly higher pricing than the weaker CR-V trim).
