Driver Rear Ends Acura Then Gets Hit By Own Car In Wild Las Vegas Incident

If you needed a reason to get uninsured coverage on your auto policy this might be your sign

Driver Rear Ends Acura Then Gets Hit By Own Car In Wild Las Vegas Incident

  • The damaged Honda rolls into traffic, over a median, and crashes into bushes.
  • The dazed driver appears to be struck by their own vehicle after the crash.

The best drivers in the world sometimes have accidents, and even those of us with perfect driving records make mistakes. On top of that, we might do everything right on the road and still end up hit by someone else. That’s what it appears we’re seeing in a new video making the social media rounds from Las Vegas. A Honda driver rear-ends an Acura driver and then seems to get hit by their own car.

Originally posted to TikTok by an account that is now deleted, before being shared elsewhere including on a number of Instagram pages and Reddit, the video begins with the occupants of the Acura getting out of their car. The driver of the Acura goes up to another motorist and asks if they’ll stay around to talk to the police after the crash. In the meantime, the passenger, who is filming, gets the real scoop.

As they pan backward, we see catastrophic damage to the front of the Honda Accord. The airbags deployed, the hood is crumpled, the bumper is in pieces, and the fenders are bent too. The driver seems dazed and confused. He gets out of the car and walks backward, attempting to shut the door as he goes. What he evidently doesn’t realize is that the car is rolling backward. It exposes a pool of what appears to be oil and perhaps coolant on the ground as it reels into traffic the wrong way.

A Nissan Kicks driver deftly avoids the Honda, and the dazed driver appears to now realize what’s going on. As they trundle after their car, the driver of the Acura explains to his occupant that he needs to get their info, as he doesn’t have full coverage. When the passenger pans back over to the Honda and its driver, it seems that the car has just hit the driver as they roll around on the ground.

The Accord then rolls over the median and into oncoming traffic before crossing the road and settling in some bushes. Thankfully, it looks that the driver, dazed as they may be, is okay as they get up again and this time go in the opposite direction away from the roadway.

Look, at the end of the day, we have no idea what’s going on with this Honda driver. For all we know, they’re suffering from some sort of medical emergency and are strong enough that they’re trying to do something about the accident but don’t have quite enough wherewithal to actually be effective.

In any case, we’re just glad that it appears as though everyone, including all of the innocent motorists around this guy, got away without any additional collateral damage.
