2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Gets a New Face and More Screen

The Toyota Corolla Cross serves as the brand’s entry-level crossover, and it’s getting a few updates for the 2026 model year. Toyota has revamped the car’s front fascia, differentiating between the gas and hybrid models, and made a few tweaks inside.

The 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid now has a color-matched grille, first teased last year. The gas-powered Corolla Cross gets a new, more rugged front fascia with larger openings and a thick bar at the top displaying the badge.

Toyota didn’t make any powertrain changes to either variant. The hybrid remains the most powerful choice, making 196 horsepower combined, pairing a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with three electric motors. The gas-powered Corolla Cross has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 169 horsepower, connected to a continuously variable transmission.

Inside, the Corolla Cross now features a 10.5-inch infotainment display that sits above a redesigned center console, which sits next to a 7.0- or 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, depending on trim. Toyota repositioned the buttons and ports, better separated the gear selector from the cupholders, and removed some upright trim pieces. It’s a few small changes that make a big difference.

Toyota will offer the gas-powered Corolla in three trims for 2026: L, LE, and XLE. The Corolla Cross Hybrid will also have three trims available: S, SE, and XSE. New to the crossover for this model year is Cavalry Blue exterior paint. It’s available on the LE, XLE, SE, and XSE, with a two-tone Jet Black combo available on the hybrid versions. There are also two new 18-inch wheel designs for select trims.

Toyota didn’t provide pricing for the 2026 Corolla Cross. The 2025 Corolla Cross starts at $25,485, including a $1,350 destination charge, for the entry-level L. The 2025 Corolla Cross Hybrid S, meanwhile, starts at $29,845. The automaker will release pricing closer to the crossover’s on-sale date later this year. We expect modest increases across the board.
