Black accents are combined with a sport-tuned suspension and a hybrid powertrain

- Toyota has introduced the 2026 Camry, which gains a new Nightshade Edition.
- The model features a sport-tuned suspension, black accents, and aluminum pedals.
- Hybrid power comes standard and customers can choose between FWD and AWD.
The 2025 Toyota Camry went in a bold new direction and now they’re announcing a handful of updates for 2026. These are understandably minor, but customers will find a new Nightshade Edition.
Designed to appeal to blackout fans, the Camry Nightshade wears an assortment of Midnight Black Metallic accents. These include the grille, mirrors, door handles, and rear spoiler. Buyers will also find dark paint on the air curtains, canards, and diffuser. They’re joined by black 19-inch wheels as well as gloss black badging.

The black flourishes contrast with Ice Cap or Supersonic Red paint. However, those seeking something less jarring can get a Midnight Black Metallic exterior with Midnight Black Metallic accents.
The sporty styling continues inside with black SofTex seats featuring contrasting white accents. Drivers will also find aluminum pedals as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters. Other highlights include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch infotainment system, and a wireless smartphone charger.
Like the SE and XSE, the Nightshade Edition has a sport-tuned suspension with a larger front stabilizer bar. Buyers will also find a familiar hybrid powertrain that consists of a 2.4-liter engine, an electric motor, and a small lithium-ion battery pack.
This setup enables the front-wheel drive model to produce a combined output of 225 hp (168 kW / 228 PS). All-wheel drive is available and it adds a rear-mounted motor, which increases the output to 232 hp (173 kW / 235 PS). Both are surprisingly efficient as even the all-wheel drive model is slated to return 46 mpg city, 46 mpg highway, and 46 mpg combined.
Aside from the Nightshade Edition, the 2026 Camry largely carries over. However, the SE, XLE, and XSE will be offered with a new Dark Cosmos paint job that is described as a “sultry, hazy blue color.”
The 2026 Camry is set to arrive at U.S. dealerships this summer and pricing will be announced closer to launch. However, the current model starts at $28,700 before a $1,135 destination fee.
