The supercar world is full of new models that are becoming more and more extreme in every way. You have F1-inspired machines such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie and Mercedes-AMG One. There are insanely powerful EVs including the Rimac Nevera and Lotus Evija. Plus other unusual vehicles like the tandem-layout Czinger 21C and four-seat Koenigsegg Gemera. Somehow, though, an American supercar is still one of the most powerful and fastest vehicles in the world, despite having already ended production in its original guise: the Hennessey Venom F5. Because of that, the Uranus Blue example you see here, is the only way you can get one right now.
The Car For Sale
Now technically, you can still get a Hennessey Venom F5 in roadster form, or in the track-oriented Revolution trim. The former has a removable roof panel, and the latter comes with many aerodynamic additions that make it better for track use, rather than for setting top speed records. But the original run of 24 F5 coupes has ended, meaning used examples are the only way to get one.
This 2023 example is being auctioned by SBX Cars, the high-end car auction platform run by Supercar Blondie. It’s finished in a light blue with a matching black and blue interior. The auction site notes that this is the first Venom F5 to get the optional “Comfort” seats, so if you’re wanting your ultra-powerful supercar to be a little more cushy, this is probably a solid option. It’s a one-owner vehicle, which was serviced at the end of last year, and it has more miles than you might expect. With 1,514 miles, this Venom’s owner actually got it out relatively frequently. The listing also notes that the owner fitted paint protection film, and it seems to have prevented any major blemishes. The auction ends in just two days at the time of publishing, and is only at $1,475,000, about half the price of what the car cost when new.
Reasons Why It’s Worth Taking Home
The Hennessey Venom F5 remains the most powerful production car with a pure internal-combustion engine. Its twin-turbo 6.6-liter V8 makes 1,817 horsepower and 1,193 pound-feet of torque. It’s only really topped by some of the most powerful EVs in the world. That power is important for Hennessey’s aim to finally set a 300-mph top speed. The company is still working on an attempt in which it would do a two-way run and average the two runs. The reason for this is that it helps eliminate the possibility of wind affecting the run in either direction.

When Hennessey Hits 300 MPH, It’ll Do The One Thing Bugatti Wouldn’t
Even among automakers that can hit 300 mph, there are subtle ways to flex their superiority over their rivals.
Even without that record just yet, the enormous power is certain to make the car a blast, and it has a chassis to match. Hennessey set a lap record at Circuit of the Americas outside of Austin, Texas, with the Revolution version and its aero upgrades. Though it was then taken back by Czinger with a 21C.
