The Facebook Marketplace is full of automotive oddities, though every once in a while you’ll find some gems in there, like this SEMA 2022 build that’s one of a kind. Currently on sale on the platform, this highly modified Maverick might even make you rethink your planned purchase of a Ford Maverick Lobo, the newest street version of the compact Blue Oval pickup.

Priced at $57,458, the bright and catchy Maverick build is not one of Ford’s 40 wild Maverick concepts for SEMA 2022. It is a one-off creation by Leif Johnson Ford dealership, built in collaboration between Ford and Saleen performance parts. And while the Maverick Lobo starts at just over $35,000, with a loaded example going up to around $45,000, some dealers are trying to sell the truck for around $50,000. So why not get this SEMA build instead?
That’s One Cool Maverick Street Truck Setup
Obviously, there are a lot of exterior alterations in this Maverick build that aren’t for the unskilled hands. They feature one-off parts specifically designed for this build, featuring body kits based on 3D scans of the Maverick’s exterior, including custom-built parts like air dam, splitter, side rockers, rear bumper, tailgate spoiler, and fender flares. It also comes with an air suspension system that can lower the truck almost to the ground.

The Ford Maverick gets a refresh for 2025, including a new street truck trim which we got to experience first-hand.
While not seen in the images here, the build also features a custom pink “style bar” in the bed, which houses marine-grade JBL speakers – two 6-inch and two 8-inch. The bar is motorized and retracts when not in use, stowed away from view via a tonneau cover. It also has a 1,000-watt amplifier to complete the incredible audio setup.
No Modifications Under The Hood Though
The Maverick SEMA 2022 build didn’t have any modifications under the hood. It’s still powered by a 2.0-liter EcoBoost twin-scroll turbocharged inline-four gasoline engine, capable of making up to 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. And apparently, it wasn’t used that much either, as the listing shows that the once show car only ran 2,774 miles on the clock, so it’s practically still fresh.

As mentioned, this unique Maverick is up for grabs for $57,458, which is a bit of an ask if you’ll compare it with a standard model. Then again, considering the modifications that the pickup carries and the relative pricing of the Maverick Lobo, we won’t blame customers who’d go for this build instead.
