2026 Compass Shows Up Early In Numerous Flavors

The next-generation Jeep Compass is already in its teasing stage, with several black-and-white photos officially released by Stellantis to hype its debut later this year. However, internet sleuths aren’t backing down from the challenge of uncovering the third generation of the affordable SUV, somehow getting their hands on leaked images ahead of its grand debut.

2025 Jeep Compass

Base MSRP

$26,900

Engine

2.0L I4 Turbo

Horsepower

200 HP @5000 RPM

Torque

221 lb.-ft. @ 1750 RPM

The leaked images here were from Burlapp Car, though the original source remains unclear. Interestingly, there are three flavors of the Compass we’re seeing from the images, presumed to represent the various confirmed powertrains available for the crossover. Suffice to say, take these images with a pinch of salt, though if they stay true to the real thing, Jeep’s got a good-looking model on the way.

Three Flavors To Choose From For Now

Based on the modular STLA Medium platform, shared with various Stellantis models sold in Europe, the 2026 Compass will be available in three powertrains: hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and pure electric. The juicy green-colored one depicted here appears to be the full-electric model, represented by the “e” badge at the rear. It also appears that the illuminated grille from the teasers is available for various configurations, unlike the EV-exclusive counterpart in the Wagoneer S.

Stellantis In Hot Water Over Misleading “American-Made” Adverts

Things are getting messy in the messaging behind Dodge, Jeep, and Ram’s advertising in response to new tariffs.

Speaking of other configurations, the white Compass that you see here has a different styling, particularly seen on the front bumper, lower grille, hood, and wheels, resulting in a more aggressive look. We could be looking at a Trackhawk model, but that is pure speculation at this point. In typical Jeep fashion, all the leaked images show some Easter eggs on the wheels.

An Attempt To Simplify The Interior, But At A Cost

For the first time, we get to see the supposed upcoming Compass’ interior, which shows Jeep’s attempt to clean up the center stack, with a dial for gear shifting and, unfortunately, lack of tactile buttons for basic functions. The automaker also appears to be trying to integrate the huge screen onto the dashboard, unlike the one found in the current model. There are varying textures found, too, and a white accent for the upholstery.

The Car Brands Most At Risk From Trump’s Huge Tariffs

Tariffs are nothing new in the automotive world, but for some brands, their American dream could go up in smoke.

Jeep has confirmed that the next Compass will be fully revealed in spring for the European market first. That’s because it will be built in Melfi, Italy, and its arrival in America is uncertain for now. However, given its popularity with Americans – it’s Jeep’s current third best-seller – we hope the automaker finds a way to bring it stateside. Most importantly, have it manufactured locally so it can skirt around the hefty import tariffs and continue to be an affordable SUV.
