Ford’s Employee Pricing Extended, But Will Tariffs Send Prices Soaring After July?

  • Ford is extending their employee pricing for all program into early July.
  • The automaker said the incentive has generated double-digit sales increases.
  • CEO Jim Farley said prices could go up after the program ends due to tariffs.

Ford has extended their employee pricing for all program through the Fourth of July weekend. The automaker said their “From America, For America” incentive has “resonated deeply with the public” and is “providing much needed relief to American consumers and businesses.”

var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:[]};
adpushup.que.push(function() {
if (adpushup.config.platform !== “DESKTOP”){
adpushup.triggerAd(“0f7e3106-c4d6-4db4-8135-c508879a76f8”);
} else {
adpushup.triggerAd(“82503191-e1d1-435a-874f-9c78a2a54a2f”);
}
});

While the company didn’t release numbers, they claimed the employee pricing program has delivered double-digit sales increases as well as “strong” growth in terms of market share. The Blue Oval also said dealers have described the move as a “shot in the arm,” which is a nice break from the typical shot in the foot.

Ford’s director of U.S. sales and dealer relations, Rob Kaffl, said “Despite the dynamic tariff situation, our dealers maintain a robust retail stock of all vehicles. This ensures customers have an ample selection of gas, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles.”

Of course, the fun ones are excluded as there’s a restriction on Raptors as well as specialty Mustangs and Broncos. The 2025 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs are also a no-go as are Super Duty pickups.

 Ford’s Employee Pricing Extended, But Will Tariffs Send Prices Soaring After July?

While employee pricing has been extended into the summer, Ford CEO Jim Farley isn’t sure what happens next. As he told CNN, prices could go up thanks to tariffs on imported vehicles as well as imported parts. The latter is a problem for Ford, as well as everyone else, as Farley said “We have to import certain parts” as they can’t buy them in the United States.

The executive also stressed the need for imported components as he said, “The affordability of parts is a really important thing for America because we’ve got to keep … vehicles affordable.” He also said, “We want to keep our prices competitive and low” and tariffs could be an opportunity for the automaker. While this remains to be seen, Ford assembles more vehicles in the United States than anyone else.
