The Ariya is Nissan’s first compact electric SUV. We must differentiate it now, as Nissan claims the Leaf is an SUV, too. And as compact electric SUVs go, the Ariya has a lot going for it on paper. It’s reasonably priced, practical, reliable and safe. It has a neat modern interior. And it’s pleasant enough to drive in all-wheel-drive form. It’s not the sexiest crossover out there, but that has never stopped the Rogue from doing monster sales.

Alas, Ariya sales have not gone as well as some anticipated. The chip shortage and supply chain issues hampered the Ariya’s rollout. The brand sold 19,798 of the crossovers in 2024, which was a 47% uptick. And sales are up year over year again in 2025. However, rivals like the Ford Mustang Mach-E and Hyundai Ioniq 5 are still outselling the Ariya by a margin of more than two to one.
The upshot is that Nissan has some Ariya inventory to offload. And the brand appears motivated to sell them, offering a range of five-figure incentives on the electric SUV to get them out the door.

Want An Ariya? Nissan Will Offer You $10,000 In Cash
CarsDirect spied a Nissan dealer bulletin detailing some incredible deals Nissan is offering nationally on the 2025 Ariya. Ariya buyers can take advantage of either a $10,000 customer cash offer when purchasing or accept 0% APR financing for 72 months with $2,500 cash. Both offers are available through August 4.
Nissan is not leaving potential Ariya lessees out of the savings. Depending on the market, Nissan is offering up to $12,500 in lease cash. That offer can make the base model Ariya Engage trim cheaper to lease than the Nissan Leaf S.
Nissan is also offering financing deals on its combustion-powered SUVs. 2025 Rogue and Pathfinder buyers can claim 0% APR financing for 60 months and cash-back deals. Buyers of the all-new Murano can also opt for 0% APR financing for 60 months.

The Nissan Ariya Won’t Be The Only EV Seeing Discounts
If you’ve been looking to score a deal on a new EV, the next two months will be the time to act. The Trump Administration’s “Big Beautiful Bill” eliminates the $7,500 federal tax credit for EVs. But the tax credit remains available for buyers until September 30, 2025. Buyers can still receive up to $7,500 off eligible new EVs until then. And with the so-called lease loophole – leases technically count as commercial vehicle sales – all EVs can still offer $7,500 off leases.
The Ariya, which Nissan assembles at its Tochigi plant in Japan, is not eligible for a federal tax credit on purchases. However, Nissan is likely factoring in the federal tax credit for its lease cash offer.
