When Honda quietly increased the price of the Civic Si Sedan early in the year, it crossed the $30,000 mark. It felt like a bummer, but remember, the nameplate remains relatively cheap for a performance vehicle. That remains true as automakers turn over a new leaf for the 2026 model year, as the price increase for the entire Civic Sedan range shows only a minor bump, including the Civic Si.

How The Pricing Stacks Up
Now available for order via American Honda’s website, Honda has only added $345 to the pricing of the Civic Sedan. That increase is seen across the range, which means the Civic Sedan now starts at $24,595 for the LX trim and tops out at $32,295 for the Sport Touring Hybrid. The Civic Si Sedan gets a higher $745 price hike, which means it now starts at $30,995.
Of note, the prices mentioned here don’t include the $1,150 destination charge, and the pricing for the Civic Hatchback has yet to be released.

Just As Expected With Annual Price Hikes
Honda didn’t publish any changes to the 2026 Civic lineup, but that’s fine, as the model has just received a facelift as part of a MY2025 update. What’s important to note is that the increases are only around 1% of the previous prices, which means they are just as expected as part of the usual annual price hike. Even the 2.5% increase of the Civic Si isn’t bothersome.

That said, Honda’s 2026 pricing for the Civic Sedan creates a larger gap to comparable (and more affordable) nameplates like the Toyota Corolla, which starts at $22,325 and reaches at $28,190 for the 2025 model year. Toyota has yet to release the pricing for the 2026 model year.
The Civic Is Still Popular Despite Its Price
Despite the price gap, the Civic remains the second most popular nameplate for the Japanese automaker, sitting right next to the Honda CR-V. At the end of 2024, Honda had sold over 242,005 units of the Civic, showing its popularity with American buyers. Meanwhile, 2025 has seen a similar trend, with Honda moving 58,976 units during the first three months of the year.
