Mansory Built A G-Class Art Car Based On The Monopoly Board Game

Have a love for money and a desire to express it in a non-traditional way? Buying one of German tuner Mansory’s typically ostentatious rides will do that, but if you really want to drive the message home, the company’s latest project may just be the ticket.

Mansory recently decided to get into the art car game, and for its first endeavor teamed up with New York artist / DJ Alec Andon. He’s known professionally as Alec Monopoly and often uses the famous Mr. Monopoly character from the Monopoly board game as part of his projects. And Mansory’s new art car is no exception. Behold the Mansory – Art Piece – AL3C MONO907Y. Yes, that’s the actual name.

Pop Art Meets G-Wagen

Andon started with Mansory’s Speranza convertible based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, specifically the AMG G63 flagship, as his blank canvas. The Speranza features a convertible conversion as well as rear-opening coach-style doors, not to mention a big power boost. For Andon’s version, these elements remain.

Unique to the project is Andon’s pop art style, which in this case features a combination of printed graphics and bright colors, all sealed by a protective clear coat. Since some of the elements are applied by hand, no two examples of Mansory and Andon’s art car will be the same. Yes, that means there will be more than one of these memorable Mansory Mercs floating around. In fact, a total of 10 will be produced.

Gold-Laden Rolls-Royce Spectre EV Is A Vulgar Display Of Petroleum-Fueled Wealth

Mansory’s starting 2025 on a high note with its latest take on the Spectre EV.

Money is clearly a central theme for the project, and the irony in that is not lost on us. In addition to Mr. Monopoly and all the different currency symbols that litter the SUV, mega-rich cartoon characters Scrooge McDuck and Richie Rich are also present. The theme also carries over into the interior, where turquoise – rather than green – is used for the trim.

Major Body Modifications Required

To create its Speranza convertible, Mansory had to extensively rework the G63 body structure since the roof plays a critical role in maintaining torsional rigidity. According to the company, the frame and sill areas get extensive reinforcement. Mansory also shortens the wheelbase, eliminating the third side window and allowing the rear doors to flow directly into the electrically operated fabric roof.

There are performance modifications, too. Under the hood, the standard G63’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 receives larger turbochargers, reprogrammed electronics, and a high-performance exhaust system. That boosts power to a healthy 820 horsepower and 848 pound-feet of torque. This enables the bright, bulky SUV to reach 62 mph from a dead stop in 3.9 seconds. That’s not bad at all for a big SUV, even one with the roof lopped off. The top speed is limited to 155 mph.

Driven: 2025 Mercedes-AMG G63 Makes No Sense Until You Drive It

No other company makes anything quite like the G-Wagon. But they should.

Mansory hasn’t said how much one of the Mansory – Art Piece – AL3C MONO907Y (we really hate typing that) art cars will set you back. However, the standard Speranza based on the latest G63 is thought to start at well over $500,000 and range up close to $1 million depending on the level of customization. The art car would presumably cost more, so you better pass Go and collect your $200 as much as you can if you want one.
