You Might Be Surprised By Who’s Replacing Clarkson And Co On The Grand Tour

  • Amazon rumored to reboot The Grand Tour with younger hosts replacing original trio.
  • They’re said to include Thomas Holland and James Engelsman from Throttle House.
  • Train enthusiast Francis Bourgeois is also rumored to join the show to provide humor.

The Grand Tour concluded its run last year with One for the Road. The finale saw Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May get together for one last time to travel across Zimbabwe.

It marked the end of an era for the three hosts, but it appears Amazon is eager to reboot the series with three younger presenters. Unsurprisingly, they’re said to include YouTubers and a social media personality.

According to The Sun, the show has tapped Throttle House stars Thomas Holland and James Engelsman. This seems like a solid choice and an insider told the publication, “Thomas and James are as knowledgeable about motors as Jeremy, Richard and James – the only difference is they’re younger, cooler and a lot more social media savvy.”

The YouTubers have 3.26 million subscribers and their videos typically get more than 500,000 views. However, some are far more popular and have racked up millions of viewers. The duo also have thousands of fans on social media.

Speaking of which, the third rumored host is someone you’ve probably never heard of before. We’re talking about Francis Bourgeois, who is a self-described “railway enthusiast and mechanical engineer.”

Bourgeois has 3.3 million followers on TikTok, 2.4 million followers on Instagram, and 144,000 on YouTube. He sounds like an odd addition, but the publication’s source said, “Francis became famous for his love of trainspotting and will be bringing his humor to the show.”

Little else is known about the rumored reboot at this point, but previous reports have suggested it’s being developed by Studio Lambert. At the time, it was suggested the next version of the show would have a new format which could give the latest iteration its own identity.
