First, tuner shop Waido turned its eye to the Tesla Cybertruck, transforming that already stand-out electric pickup into an even wider, louder creation. Then it did the same for the Dodge Charger Daytona, creating an electric muscle car with looks worthy of the Demon. Now it’s time for something with a little more style and a lot more luxury: the Escalade IQ.

Waido has developed a widebody kit for the Cadillac Escalade IQ. Giving one of the burliest, attention-grabbing vehicles on the road even more strength, presence, and ability to push other vehicles out of its way with nothing more than a glimpse in the rearview.
Waido Does Not Do Subtle
The brand is never subtle. The renderings of this Escalade IQ show a far more aggressive vehicle with fenders that would no doubt make it a nightmare to park. Like it or hate it, the company’s vehicles have presence. They demand attention, be it positive or negative.
That holds true with the Waido Escalade IQ electric. The stock IQ is sleeker than its gas-powered counterpart. The necessity of being at least a little bit aerodynamic results in a less overwhelming design.

The utterly massive electric Escalade gets some presence thanks to Cactus Jack. Finally, Shaq finds an EV he fits into.
Waido helps fix that little problem with its new kit, starting with the new front fascia. Looking closely, we think that Waido just added a second bumper below the first one, but dropping the nose of the SUV is an extreme makeover. It might even be better at cutting through the air, though you’re not going to want to take it off-roading.
New side skirts look like a second set of running boards beneath the first set. Strange? Absolutely. Interesting? You betcha.
How Much Wider? We’re Not Sure
The wider skirts fill the gaps between the new front and rear arches. Waido doesn’t say exactly how much wider it intends to make the Escalade IQ, but it has to be at least half a foot, if not more. Good luck keeping the giant wheels (and their very shiny, very protruding lips) from smashing every curb in sight after this.
Ignore the overly shiny finish of the renders and scroll around to the rear and there is more of the same, with a giant spoiler at the bottom of the hatch glass, doing its best to try and visually balance the longer rear bumper and body-color rear diffuser. A band of contrast-finish trim runs from the rear arches around the taillights, and it’s interesting, even if it isn’t overly appealing.

Cadillac electrified an icon. Was it a smooth transition?
Waido isn’t saying much about the kit, other than that it wants you to reach out if you’re interested in buying one. The company’s Cybertruck kit costs just under $10,000. This one, with what looks to be forged carbon fiber almost everywhere, will probably be more.
But we’re not sure how you could get more attention than a bright green Cadillac Escalade IQ with this body kit, no matter how much money you spend.
