Earlier this month, Ford announced it would be offering employee pricing discounts to all customers, though only for a limited time. The cut-off date was set for June 2. Today, Ford announced that it would extend not just its employee pricing program, but also its EV charger program called “Power Promise,” all the way to July 4. The announcement comes soon after the Trump administration was planning on implementing some tariff reductions for the automotive sector. With that said, buyers on the fence should still act soon, since the program will eventually end, and CEO Jim Farley indicated to CNN that prices could rise in the future.

The Programs And Eligibility
The employee pricing program, called “Ford Motor Company: From America, For America,” is pretty straight-forward, and it started on April 3. The discounted pricing that’s normally only available for Ford employees is offered to any buyer of a Ford or Lincoln product. It also applies to most 2024 to 2025 Ford and Lincoln models. The exceptions include Raptor models, special versions of the Mustang and Bronco models, Super Duty trucks, and the 2025 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. Also, while the program is offered nationwide, and on most models, you will want to make sure whatever dealer you’re considering is participating, since it’s not mandatory.

New Trump Tariff Rules Make Importing Parts And Materials Less Costly
Automakers will no longer be charged duties on raw materials if they’re already being saddled with tariffs on imported cars.
As for the “Power Promise,” that program has been in effect since October, and the main attraction is that it includes both a free home EV charger, in addition to free installation of said charger. Both programs can be combined, too. So if you buy a Mustang Mach-E or F-150 Lightning, you’ll be able to get both employee pricing and a free home charger.
All Good Things Must Come To An End
The future of Ford pricing after July 4 isn’t completely clear. Talking with CNN, Farley said that he wouldn’t guarantee any price changes for the future. He also indicated that any price changes could be affected by what competitors end up doing. Even with plenty of manufacturing capability in the US, Ford still has some models built outside the country, such as the Maverick, and it still has to source some parts from other countries, too. So it seems likely that there could be some price increases from Ford after the employee pricing program ends. The pricing increases may not be applied evenly across the board, but it seems hard to imagine that there won’t be any price changes.
